Short of climbing aboard a time capsule and peeling back eight and one-half decades, James Cameron's magnificent Titanic is the closest any of us will get to walking the decks of the doomed ocean liner. Meticulous in detail, yet vast in scope and intent, Titanic is the kind of epic motion picture event that has become a rarity. You don't just watch Titanic, you experience it -- from the launch to the sinking, then on a journey two and one-half miles below the surface, into the cold, watery grave where Cameron has shot never-before seen documentary footage specifically for this movie.

blood money movie review

Diamonds are for never! Sometimes the dangling 'carat' is just a lure to trap you. In a bloodied mine of diamond devilry. Kunal (Kunal Khemu) is one such man who gets suckered in by the glitter. Landing a job with a leading diamond company in Cape Town, he gets seduced by the lust of money and power. His almost fairytale life with Arzoo (Amrita Puri), slowly turning into a nightmare, as he's dragged into a diamond trap. The one-time pizza delivery boy from Mumbai is exposed to the gory diamond mafia, traders of illegal weapons and cold-blooded criminals. The frontrunner in this crime chain being his own boss, Zaveri (Manish Chaudhuri). Finally, he's left with only two choices - sell his soul for success, or get ready for a bloodbath.

Kunal Khemu is convincing as a youngster with modest beginnings, who turns into a greed-obsessed man. In the second-half, as the tale twists, his character emerges stronger, with emotions of rage, desperation and revenge well played out.

Amrita Puri plays the domesticated wife who silently suffers her husband's wrongdoings. She's pleasant enough, but gets to interact more with the dining table than with husband. Tsk! Tsk!

Manish Choudhary, the big cigar-smoking boss ends every other line with 'Superb' (reminding of the villains of old, like Ranjeet) is impressive. Bhatt favourite, Sandip Sikcand, as the scheming 'blood-brother', is not.

Mia Uyeda could be 'Missing In Action' for all it's worth (excuse the coincidence), with skin to show and not much talent - is the honey-trap Kunal falls for.

kolaveri 3 telugu movie review

The entire story of 3 runs in the Flashback….which is the real beauty and life of the movie. I am sure that everybody will resemble themselves to the teenage Ram who is driving a Yamaha RX100 bike, waiting under the tree for a passing look from the girl, joining the Tuition class with the best friend only to be with her for some time, and avoiding the best friend to have a ride in his bike with Girl friend…etc..etc.. These are the things to be highlighted about the 1st half, which made the movie…i should say THE BEST…The 2nd half completely turns the mood and take you to another genre, which is the masterpiece of Dhanush – A Psychological Thriller. I really doubt about this phase which can entertain all the type of Audience because of a big transition, which is providing a Hot and Cold treatment with romance and bipolar disorder. Yo Soup Bwoys…it is SWEET and SOUR….. and TASTY

mandals in warangal district,history

Warangal and Hanamkonda as legend goes is linked with the dynasties of Great "Vishnukundins" and even prior to it also of the Buddhist and pre_Buddhist periods of indian History.During Eighth Century A.D. , Warangal with an old name "Orukal" has served as Capital City of Yadava king of the Kakatiyas or Ganapatis making Warangal as Capital City. The name of Warangal "Orugallu" is said to be correct form of Orukal which is the original designation ,the old town. The words the middle of the Warangal fort. The Kakatiya line seems to have been in existance even earlier to the middle of 7th Century A.D.because the famous Chines Piligrim Hieun-Tsang,mentions the nameof the Kingdom of "Danakakitya" in the South. The family name Kakatiya is derived from the local appellation of the Goddess Durga(Kakati).
After the fall of Bahamani Kingdom,Warangal fell to the "Qutab Shahis" of Golkonda and thereafter it has came under the sway of Nizam's dominitions.

Thus the city of Warangal has developed both under the political and historical influences of successive great kings. The Historical events and development occured in Warangal City.
Warangal, once the capital of the Kakatiya Kingdom, is the fifth largest city of Andhra Pradesh. Warangal's History, with beautiful lakes, fine temples, rich fauna & flora have contributed to its importance as a Tourist Centre. The ancient name of Warangal was known to be Oruguallu or Omtikonda on account of huge boulder like hillock situated near the swayambhu Siva Temple and is also called "EKASILANAGARAM". In course of time, it was called as "Orugallu", and finally known as Warangal.
Warangal the ancient Kakatiya Kingdom has everything to satisfy the thirst of tourist all over the world. It has beautiful Lakes , Forts, Architectural Monuments, Wild Life Sanctuary, Musical Garden , Rock Garden, Vana Vigyana Kendra, Regional Science Centre , a fine blend of new and old. The Capital of Kakatiyas is just 150 KM from Hyderabad , the capital of Andhra Pradesh.

agent vinod movie review

The most gobsmacking brilliant portion of Agent Vinod is a roughly 3-minute shootout scene set in a seedy East European motel. Even as bullets fly in the lobby between RAW-agent Vinod (Saif Ali Khan) and deadly assassins hot on his trail, a love ballad drowns out the gunshots. The action is captured almost poetically, as Vinod and his accomplice run in and out of corridors and motel rooms, dodging the firing. Now imagine all this in a single tracking shot.
The rest of Agent Vinod, unfortunately, is missing the deft hand that writer-director Sriram Raghavan brings to this spectacular sequence. And it's not for want of imagination or ambition.
Our super-spy hero is in pursuit of an ISI Colonel (Adil Hussain) who's threatening to set off a nuclear bomb in New Delhi. The film kicks off with a series of convoluted events that you later realize are connected by the two sides trying to lay their hands on the nuclear bomb detonator – here in the form of a precious edition of Omar Khayyam's Rubaiyat, that is sold at a private auction in Morocco.
In the midst of it all, Agent Vinod meets undercover Pakistani spy Iram (Kareena Kapoor), who realizes she's a pawn in a terror plot, and quickly joins him in his efforts to seize the detonator. As the story hops across the globe – Afghanistan, Moscow, Morocco, Latvia, Somalia, Karachi, India, and London – Vinod discovers more clues that point to a deeper international conspiracy.
Frankly you must appreciate the clarity and smoothness with which our hero goes about this mission, given that as an audience you often find yourself playing a complicated game of cat-and-mouse with director Sriram Raghavan. The film's plot is suffused with undercover agents and double agents, as well as characters that are introduced and bumped off before you can blink. It's as if the phrase “deliberately obtuse” was invented to describe this film, especially as you try to navigate through the fog of the first half.
In the style of those 70s spy thrillers that are evidently a big influence on Raghavan, Agent Vinod offers a bunch of farcical baddies Рthe one-eyed Pakistani general (Shahbaaz Khan), a grey haired Russian drug-baron (Ram Kapoor), and a ponytailed Moroccan crime-lord (Prem Chopra). Even good ol' Gulshan Grover pops up as a most-wanted Dawood-like don based in Karachi. He's so blas̩ that when the masterminds require him to be a cog in yet another terrorism plot, he replies dryly: "I'm so bored!"
To be honest, by this point, so are you.
For a large portion of Agent Vinod, you don't know where things are going… and then it all stretches on so needlessly that you stop caring. Given that this is a film that sees itself as a desi-style Bond, it has glaring loopholes that are embarrassing. Like a tacky scene in which Vinod spots a familiar scorpion tattoo on a doctor's wrist that helps him deduce that he's actually an assassin. Or the ridiculous pre-climax portion in which a grievously injured character is gasping out a password to our hero, as he frantically tries to disarm a bomb while flying a helicopter.
The action in the film is choreographed slickly, but you can't help feeling a tad let down. In these days of visceral fight scenes and breathless chases that you're accustomed to seeing in the Bourne, Bond, and Mission Impossible movies, the rapid editing of the action sequences here never allows you to take in the repercussions of the violence. What cripples the film even further is its uneven pacing.
Although littered with quirky supporting characters, none of the actors in the film stand out, save for its two leads. Kareena Kapoor performs adequately in a role that mainly requires her to look wan and sad; then performs a mujra with much-needed gusto. Saif, meanwhile, was born to play the suave super-spy. He has the body language, the swagger, the physical chops, and even that hint of humor – you're most entertained when he's on screen.
Speaking of humor, the film benefits considerably from its stray tongue-in-cheek dialogue and occasional script zingers. While wolfing down spaghetti, even as Iram stares on blankly, Vinod tells her "Kuch paane ke liye, kuch khaana padta hai". At another point when the local police in Latvia arrives to question him, he says "Aap katar mein hain", referring to the fact that more than one country's authorities are looking to get their hands on him.
It's moments like these – sadly too few and far between – that bring a smile to your face during the two hours and forty-odd minutes of this disappointing film. Director Sriram Raghavan ,who gave us such taut thrillers as Ek Hasina Thi and Johnny Gadaar previously, injects Agent Vinod with so many varied influences that it never finds its own distinct identity.
I'm going with two out of five for Agent Vinod. He's a spy who knows how to save the day; he just needs a better plan.

naa ishtam movie review ratings

Prakash Toleti's Telugu film Naa Ishtam gives Rana Daggubati an opportunity for the first time to indulge in dancing and action besides, of course, some romance The film begins well but soon loses momentum and the audience's interest.

Ganesh (Rana Dagubatti) is a selfish guy who believes money is supremely important. He lives in Kuala Lumpur with his gang of friends. Then he meets Krishnaveni (Genelia D'Souza) at a temple where she is waiting for her bridegroom Kishore (Harshvardhan Rane) to show up. He doesn't, and so at night Krishnaveni haunts the red light area. Ganesh rescues her from there and from a bunch of goondas of the Salim (Shawar Ali) gang.

He takes her back to India and her village where they find that her marriage to a much older man has been arranged. So back they flee to Kuala Lumpur. Predictably Ganesh falls in love with Krishnaveni and what follows is even more predictable.

The screenplay is run-of-the-mill, with several loopholes in the script, and the plot smells of moth-balls. There are more yawn-times than exciting ones.

Rana does his best in his first commercial film. Genelia does one more runaway bride role but this time, she's more mature and sober and one misses the joie de vivre she usually exudes on screen.

Harshvardhan Rane provided good competition to Rana as Kishore. The ensemble cast of friends did a decent job. Seasoned artistes Nazar, Brahmanandam, Ali, Raghubabu, Subbaraju, Shawar Ali, Ahuti Prasad are all present and give the kind of performances expected of them.

On the technical front, the film does well. It's the story and screenplay that falter.

nuvva nena telugu movie review

Dr Nandini runs a nursing home in Hyderabad and Avinash is a petty thief in Amalapuram. Chanti is his assistant. Avinash is forced to run away to Hyderabad, when the local inspector starts chasing him. There, Avinash falls in love with Nandini. At this juncture, Anand gets admitted in the nursing home to cure his phobia. Avinash finds that it is not a phobia, but he too is in love with the Nandini. Even as both are fighting with each other for Nandini, Akubhai , a small-time goonda, enters in the middle claiming that he too is in love with Nandini. From here, the story takes several twists.

Screenplay and dialogues by Surya are apt and the one-liners penned for Allari Naresh are punch. Dasarathi Shivendra’s cinematography is okay while editing by Marthand K Venkatesh is crisp but sustained the humour. Music by Bheems are melodious though loud at times. Mani Sharma’s background score is at its best. The surprise is that the director did not prolong any of the scene but took the cinematic choice to jump from one scene to the other. He winded the story in just two hours without causing boredom to the audiences. Moreover, the film has equal comedy in the first half and the second half. Though the fight between both the heroes in the second half tested the patience of the audiences, the film as a whole went on as a good entertainer. Production values of SVK Cinema are equally good.

Zindagi Tere Naam movie review

Set in 1975, Zindagi Tere Naam, as the title suggests is the story of Siddharth Singh (Mithun Chakroborty), who selflessly has dedicates his life to his wife Anjali (Ranjeeta). A patient of Alzheimer, Anjali has lost her memory completely with no scope of recovery. But, Siddharth without losing hope is trying his best to bring the good old days back. In order to do so, he reads out their love story, which actually was written by Anjali in a notebook. So, will Anjali ever get well or even respond to her husband’s endevours, is the rest of the story.

To cut the long story short, Zindagi Tere Naam is a pathetic adaptation of a romantic English flick Notebook, directed by Nick Cassavetes, which actually was based on a novel by the same name written by Nicholas Sparks. Interestingly, Zindagi…is the second Indian film to have drawn inspiration from Notebook. Ajay Devgn’s directorial debut U, Me Aur Hum too was based on the same theme. But, unlike U, Me…,whose screenplay and direction left one spellbound, Zindagi… disappoints to the core with a clumsily knitted screenplay, an undeviating rip-off of the original film.

Mithun Chakraborty induces life in the otherwise dull drama with a performance par excellence. It is a treat to watch him break down when Anjali recognises him for once. Ranjeeta beautifully switches lanes from being a timid helpless woman to a confident loving wife. Aseem Ali Khan as young Siddharth looks promising as far as acting skills are concerned, but a great deal of makeover in terms of looks is needed. Ditto for Priyanka Mehta, who looks artificial in some parts. Dilip Tahil and Surpiya Karnik as Anjali’s parents play their parts well. Sharat Saxena as Siddharth’s father bores to death with his poetry. Himani Shivpuri is completely wasted in a small role.

Direction: Ashu Trikha blatantly apes Nick Cassavetes' style of filmmaking. One can’t spare him with the benefit of doubt, as he comes with the background of three films as a director. As far as Zindagi… is concerned, what adds more to the agony is the fact that the director refuses to even be vigilant about small things like removing the Honda city car in the background where he directs the heroine to drive a vintage car as the film is set in 1975. Also, the costumes too seem to differ from the era quite shockingly, as Anjali flaunts her sexy bod with skimpy ultra-modern clothes. The climax of the film is the saving grace which highlights high-voltage chemistry between Mithun and Ranjeeta.

puss boots movie review

Puss in Boots is undoubtedly one of the most entertaining animation films of the year. It is funny, touching and most importantly highly engaging. Puss in Boots can be called a Bollywood film in the sense, it has pretty much everything packed in one: action, adventure, fantasy, romance, drama which keeps you on the edge of your seats. Its towards the end of the movie that you realize you have a wide smile plastered on your face since the beginning, thanks to the endearing puss and his seductive femme fatale kitty softpaws.

woman in black movie review

The Bigger Picture: When struggling lawyer Arthur Kipps (Radcliff) looks at his young son, he's reminded of his wife who passed away during childbirth. So when the opportunity to settle the legal matters of an estate pops up he can't afford to say no. Located in a marsh, the house is surrounded by water when the tide is high. (Who would build a place there?!) The local villagers are freaked out by this area and with good reason, it seems the old lady who lived there has come back from the dead to kill their children.

Based on Susan Hill's novel, Black follows the beats of a traditional ghost story: the remote Victorian setting, the mystery surrounding the undead, and a protagonist that lacks the common sense to leave a haunted house. The script by Jane Goldman does make it clear that Arthur needs the money, but after he's seen a third spirit, it's time to find employment elsewhere.

Once the Woman in Black shows up, the fear factor goes way up. At first, she's seen obscured. Then her black shadowed image fills the frame—impossible to ignore. It totally works.

chaar din ki chaandni

- Taran Adarsh’s Rating:
Uninhibited and naughty, Chaar Din Ki Chandni is an enjoyable madcap comic caper with adequate frenzied moments to keep you in your seats. A good laugh is assured!

Like a shaadi ka band, CDKC's tone is mostly raucous - and good fun. Its script crosses swords with British writer P G Wodehouse's zany plots while paying hurried homage to masala-mixed Bollywood, leaving little time to worry about subtlety or depth. CDKC is a movie made by Bollywood-lovers for those who like their cinema pretention-free.

Diary Of A Buterfly movie review

Bhaggyashri Production and Prince Movies’ Diary Of A Butterfly (A) is the story of an ambitious girl who would do anything to climb the ladder of success in her profession as a fashion designer.

Gul (Udita Goswami) comes from Jaipur to Bombay to pursure her dream of fashion designing. She joins the company of Vivek (Harsh Chhaya) to whom she soon complains about Adi (Ronny Jhutti), her senior who seeks sexual favours from her for okaying her designs. This is her way of getting back at Adi with whom she had to sleep. She soon becomes Vivek’s blue-eyed employee and is promoted, but stabs him in the back when she gets a far more lucrative job offer from his competitor, Ravi Bajaj (Aryan Vaid). Before long, she ditches Ravi Bajaj too to join Xavier (Rajesh Khattar).

Gul’s mother, Shobha (Rati Agnihotri), always reminds Gul to maintain a diary, jotting down the day’s happen- ings in it as she feels, it would serve as a mirror of her life. Gul obliges but she soon tires of writing the diary. This is because of her own moves in life and also because she feels terribly let down by Karan (Rajeev Singh), her boyfriend in Jaipur, and her two friends in Bombay, Carol (Sofia Hayat) and Pia (Sneha Belani).

The Vow movie review

The Vow is a 2012 romantic drama film directed by Michael Sucsy, starring Rachel McAdams, Channing Tatum, Sam Neill, Scott Speedman and Jessica Lange. The film is based on the true story of Kim and Krickitt Carpenter.

The Vow is based on the actual relationship from Farmington, New Mexico, who wrote a book about his marriage, also known as The Vow. Kim, however, was still madly in love with his wife, although his wife viewed him as a stranger after the accident. However, according to the couple, their faith in Jesus and their wedding vows before God kept them togethe

the dirty picture movie review

Vidya Balan disappears; it's Silk that emerges on screen. And though the PR machinery may have given one the impression of this film being one of sex and sleaze, it is not. In fact, this subject has been packaged in a sublime manner giving it the respect it deserves and making us wonder what really lies behind the glamour and gloss. It's not right to pass judgment because you don't know what the other person is going through, or the circumstances that has brought her to the place she is. Everyone has a choice, right. But we all make mistakes. And this film is not about glorifying a mistake. Rather, it addresses the plight of an upcoming actress.

Terrific would be one word to sum up the dialogues. Keeping in mind the mood and the era, Rajat enhances the characters with lines that will have the audience whistling in delight. Sample this: As Silk plants an affectionate kiss on one of her fans, the delirious lad states: 'Start kar ke chod di.' Or when she is in the process of seducing the ageing superstar Suryakant (Naseeruddin Shah) in his vanity van: 'Tuning karne par band barabar bajegi.' Or this gem when she has managed to seduce Suryakant's brother Ramakant (Tusshar Kapoor): 'Border pe aane ke baad koi gaana gata hai kya?' There's immediate sound of gunshots! There are endless such lines that propel the film to another level.

Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya movie review

Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya is a Hindi romance comedy film directed by Mandeep Kumar, and features Riteish Deshmukh opposite his wife Genelia D'Souza in the lead roles. This is the third film the couple star in, and also their first on screen pairing after their marriage. Diljit Dosanjh and Veena Malik appear in cameo roles. Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya is jointly produced by Tips Industries and UTV Motion Pictures.
The film was released on February 24 2012 and received positive reviews from critics however opened to an above average response at the box office.

Mini (Genelia D'Souza) is a young girl who lives off her father Bhatti's (Tinnu Anand) money and wealth. She hates the term "marriage", however is still being forced to get married by her father. Viren (Riteish Deshmukh) is a hard-working simpleton who dreams of having his own travel agency with a fleet of cars for which he is painstakingly saving money. He currently works as a rickshaw-driver for Bhatti. When Bhatti sells off all his rickshaws one day with Viren's savings of Rs.60,000 in it and Viren drinks alcohol to the fullest to drown his sorrows and in a drunken stupor lands up at Bhatti's doorstep demanding his money back, while Mini's engagement is in progress. An argument ensues and Viren lays his hands on a pistol.
In the commotion, Mini seizes the opportunity of cancelling her marriage and forces Viren to kidnap her and makes him drive them off in the waiting vehicle. The spunky Mini makes a deal with Viren that he will follow her instructions and will demand a ransom of Rs 10 lakh from her father. He can then have his Rs 60,000 and she will keep the rest as she does not want to go back home and get married. While the ransom letter goes to Mini's father, the couple enter into someone's home and try to make ends meet. In the process, they fall in love and are happy being with each other. The story takes a twist when Mini's fiance Sunny along with her father comes to pay the ransom amount but actually fools them and starts firing, hoping to take Mini back. Suddenly, Mini and Viren are kidnapped by another person and taken away to the Chowdhary's haveli.

Chowdhary (Om Puri) is a notorious kidnapping kingpin, who makes a living out of demanding ransom. Just when you think Chowdhary is a villain of sorts and some never-ending torture drama will unfold, we discover that Viren alias "chotu" is Chowdhary. Disapproving of his father's ways, Viren has left home six years ago to work in Patiala as a rickshaw driver. The story unfolds and leads to a dramatic climax involving a shiny horse and a beautiful car!

pan singh tomar movie review

Paan Singh Tomar is the true epic journey of a talented runner who turned into is directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia, and produced by Ronnie Screwala.

Its a story about a guy from a small town of Madhya Pradesh who rose as an athlete and ruled the steeplechase event at the Indian National Games for 7 years in a round whose record stood unbeaten for 10 years. His name was Pan Singh Tomar, belonged to rajpoot community of Madhya pradesh. But fame didn't stop there-he became even more famous or rather infamous when he gave up his running shoes and went on to become Baaghi and wreaked havoc in the Chambal Valley. The Cast Irrfan Khan and Mahi Gil(the Gal from Dev D) fame are the leading actors in the movie and once again a fab performances is expectd by both of them living upto the previous performances given by them. This Movie looks promissing keeping in mind the kind of movies irrfan khan does is always different and something to look forward too.

A reporter interviews Paan Singh Tomar (Irrfan), a dacoit who is in the news for killing 9 people of a community. Answering questions about himself, the story goes in a flashback in year 1950. Paan Singh works in the Army while his (wife and mother) live in Morena. He surprises his seniors in the Army with his athletic skills. Though he was not interested in sports, he joins the sports division because there was no limit on diet. Picked for the 5000 meters race's training, he was persuaded to run for the 3000 meter steeplechase by his coach. He participates in the Indian National Games and wins the gold medal in the steeplechase event 7 years in a row. In 1958 he participates in the Asian Games at Tokyo, but couldn't win because of inability to adjust with the Spikes given to him in the final event only. He feels frustrated when not allowed to go the borders in 1962 and 1965 war because sportsmen were not allowed to fight in the wars. In 1967, he participated in the International Military Games and wins the gold medal in the steeplechase.

His elder brother from his native place visits him and tells about illegal acquisition by Bhanwar Singh, his relative. Paan Singh retires from the Army to settle his family disputes, despite being offered a position as the coach in the army. On arriving home, he tries to resolve issue with Bhanwar Singh. He seeks help from the District Collector and local police station, but no help is provided. His son gets beaten badly by Bhanwar Singh and his goons. Paan Singh then orders his son to rejoin army and stay away from the dispute. Bhanwar Singh and his goons try to kill Paan Singh and family. His family manages to escape but his mother gets killed brutally. Paan Singh decides to avenge his mother's death. He becomes a baaghi who wreaks havoc in the Chambal Valley. He forms a gang and continues to add new members. He starts kidnapping people for financial support. He uses Police dress and police vehicles. He soon becomes notorious in Chambal Valley area. After gaining enough power and money, he murders Bhanwar Singh and his goons.

One day, Paan Singh and his gang stay in a village. The village sarpanch informs police about Paan Singh's gang. The police attacks the compound where Paan Singh is staying. Paan Singh manages to escape, but his elder brother is killed. To avenge his brother's death, he kills the sarpanch and 8 other people. The interview with the reporter ends here and the interview is published in the newspaper and causes a sensation. The police continues in its search for Paan Singh Tomar, who decides to lay low for a while. He meets his family and his coach in the army who requests him to surrender. Paan Singh refuses to surrender on the principle that while he was a sportsman holding a national record, nobody came to help him with his problems, and the moment he turned a rebel, everyone wants him to be arrested. When the gang reconvenes after a month's hiatus, one of the members who had turned a police informer betrays the gang and gives them away to the police. A shootout ensues where all members of the gang, including Paan Singh are killed.
