pesi shroff race horse jockey truned as trainer

Pesi Shroff (b 1965) is a former Indian champion jockey. Shroff has ridden over 1740 winning horses including 106 classic horse races. He began his career as a 16-year old, when he was licensed to ride by the Royal Western India Turf Club in Mumbai in the 1981 season. He won his first race on My Squaw and then won several other horses, riding alongside several leading jockeys such as Vasant Shinde, Aslam Kader, Robin Corner,Malesh Narredu and Appu, both in the Indian race circuit and the international circuit.
Shroff has had a long association with Indian liquor baron, Vijay Mallya, having been a retainer for him for several years. Apart from Mallya, he has also been the retainer for M.A.M. Ramaswamy, Deepak Khaitan, and Khusro Dhunhjiboy.
Till date, he is the only jockey to have piloted eight Derby winners at the Mahalaxmi Racecourse, Mumbai and has ridden a classic winner each of the five major racing centres India.
On 31 October 2004 he retired from the profession. Shroff is married to childhood sweetheart Teena and have two children. He likes to play golf and is a cricket fan.
Today, Pesi is a successful trainer in the Indian Racing circuit. He recently trained a wonder filly Jacqueline to victory in the Indian Derby 2010.

Andhra Pradesh Congress leader from Hyderabad Mukesh Goud has said that Hyderabad does not belong to either Telangana or the Andhra or the Rayalaseema regions. He said that Hyderabad was a part of Telangana around fifty years back. But since then Hyderabad underwent a lot of change. Now there are many people from other regions when compared to people from original Hyderabad.

Mukesh said that Muslims and the settlers which constitute around 75% of the Hyderabadi population do not want Hyderabad to become part of Telangana. Even many people in the remaining 25% do not wish to join Telangana. He said that he would fight for Hyderabad to become separate state or an Union Territory.

Mukesh Goud said that he would join hands with the Telangana leaders who do not bother about the development of Hyderabad but only wish development of their respective constituencies only.

Political Career

Stint in Telugu Desam Party

Chandrasekhar Rao first contested in the 1983 assembly elections which he has lost. He was first elected as Member of Legislative Assembly in 1985 from Telugu Desam Party. He achieved continuous success since then, never losing any election. During his stint in the Telugu Desam Party, KCR was as an important member in the party and has also served as Deputy Speaker in the Andhra Pradesh assembly. However, he quit the party later due to difference with the TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu.

Formation of Telangana Rashtra Samithi

An active supporter of a separate statehood of Telangana, Chandrasekhar Rao has formed the Telangana Rashtra Samithi party for the cause of Telangana state. He formed an alliance with the Congress party in 2004 and contested in the elections. Chandrasekhar Rao staged an indefinite hunger strike demanding the formation of Telangana state. He later ended his fast when the UPA Government said that it will initiate the process of formation of Telangana state. However, in a few days, the UPA Government backtracked its statement.

Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy was a promising cricketer during his student days and represented the State and even South Zone in National and international tournaments. He is a four-time Member of Legislative Assembly. He was Govt. Chief Whip for five years (2004-09) and then Speaker of the Assembly for one and half turbulent years (May, 2009 to November, 2010).  Mr. Reddy handled both the jobs of Chief Whip and Speaker to best of his ability and to the satisfaction of all sections.  He has handled the mass resignation of MLAs in the Assembly deftly and most efficiently.
Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy was born on 13th September, 1960 at Hyderabad. He had his schooling in the Hyderabad Public School at Begumpet, Hyderabad. He did his Intermediate Course from St. Joseph's Junior College, Hyderabad. Later Mr. Reddy did his graduation in Commerce from Nizam College and LL.B from Osmania University.
Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy has the right political lineage as his father late Mr. Nallari Amarnath Reddy was a strong and respected politician from Chittoor and also a close aide of former Prime Ministers, late Smt. Indira Gandhi and late Mr. P.V. Narasimha Rao. Late Mr. Nallari Amarnath Reddy was a minister in Congress cabinet from 1978 to 1982.
Mr.Kiran Kumar Reddy was first elected to Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly from Vayalpadu constituency of Chittoor district in 1989.
During the rule of the late chief minister Dr.Y. S. Rajasekhar Reddy from 2004 to 2009, Kiran Kumar Reddy functioned as Government Chief Whip with cabinet minister's status. Mr. Reddy deftly handled the crisis caused after 143 MLAs of different political parties resigned after the Centre’s announcement on Telangana issue on December 9th, 2009.
He also served as member of the Public Undertakings Committee and Assurances Committee.
Mr. Reddy, as Speaker of the 13th Andhra Pradesh Assembly, was very firm in dealing with the proceedings in the House. He is known as stickler to rules and never tolerates indiscipline and laziness.
Though represented Pileru constituency in Chittoor district of the Rayalaseema region, Mr. Kiran Kumar is a Hyderabadi to the core, having born and studied throughout in Hyderabad. As a cricketer, he came close to reckoning for India test cap as a wicket keeper batsman. He also showed early signs of political leadership, by getting elected as President of Nizam College Students Union in the early 1980s.
His aim is to make Andhra Pradesh the best industrial and investment destination in the country.  His target is to see that the benefit of all welfare schemes reach the genuine beneficiary, particularly the poorest of the poor. He is friend of the farmer and does everything for them and at the same time provides priority for the welfare of the Women, SC, ST, BC and Minorities.
His wife is Smt. N Radhika Reddy, son N. Nikilesh Reddy and daughter N.Niharika Reddy.
